About the Curator
Amal Issa is the curator of the Columbia MFA Thesis Exhibition 2025 and 2026. She has held positions at e-flux, New York, where she was Director of Programs and Exhibitions; and at Ashkal Alwan, Beirut, where she was co-founder and Director of the pedagogical art program Home Workspace. Issa was co-editor of the Sharjah Biennial 13 publication tamawuj, and has translated and edited books by Rabih Mroué, Fadi Toufiq, and Waddah Charara, among other publications. Issa studied painting and literature in Beirut. She lives in Brooklyn.
