Bio: Soomin is a Seoul-born artist based in New York. Artist Statement:
The body
stands,
leans,
sits,
reclines.
Support becomes instruction.
How does the body want to move through rigid frames and subtle guidance,
and what do they ask of us in return? My work begins with the sensual negotiation
between the body and the everyday structures that hold it, translating it into
a language of play and constraint.
