Artist Statement: Alek’s work moves through text, objects, movement, workshops, printed matter, and body language. He relates to sound as a mycelium-like substance, running through bodies and architecture to connect people and place. He relates to books as a house where lots of people live. They spend their lives between the pages and when we read it we get to meet them. It’s nice to meet you now!
