Artist Statement: KeKeZ’s works investigate the body’s perception through visceral engagement and instinctive responses, exploring the tension between mind and physical form. Her background in dance and stage performance makes her highly attuned to the dynamics of the gaze, power structures, and gender norms. She examines how women navigate and present their bodies in the digital age, questioning the ways in which digital media and cultural conditioning shape self-representation.

Her works frequently take place in intimate spaces—bathrooms, hotel rooms, massage parlors—where personal privacy collides with societal scrutiny, reflecting larger public discourses. Recurring motifs of chaos and disruption define her practice, as she crafts seemingly orderly scenarios that gradually unravel into disorder. Favoring intimate, single-character narratives, she constructs dynamic interactions between her protagonists and their surroundings, interweaving elements of the everyday with absurdist humor.
